Galaxy Grapple Nominated For Best VR Game In the 12th INTERNATIONAL MOBILE GAMING AWARDS

Los Angeles, CA — Feb 17, 2016 – Galaxy Grapple announced today that it has been nominated for Best VR Game in the 12th International Mobile Gaming Awards (IMGA). The IMGA is the longest standing and highest regarded mobile games award program started in 2004.
Galaxy Grapple was developed by Polycene, a mixed reality R&D and creative agency based in Los Angeles, as part of Oculus’ GearVR Jam in April of 2015. After an electrical storm strands the player in space, s/he must float from asteroid to asteroid collecting gems, mining resources, and dogfighting to repair a broken jumpgate and escape the sector.
“Nominees like Polycene highlight the new standard of creativity and the emerging quality of the productions found in mobile gaming”, said Maarten Noyons, founder of The IMGA. “Polycene’s game was one of the few to rise to the top of the prominent list of jury’s best experiences in its category.”
As a nominee, Galaxy Grapple is also eligible to win the People’s Choice Award, which is voted online by fans across the globe. From now until March 10, 2016 Galaxy Grapple fans and gamers can cast their votes at www.imgawards.com/
Winners will be announced on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 during the highly anticipated IMGA ceremony, which will take place at the 111Mina Gallery in San Francisco during GDC.
